      Cool Help me please!

So, I am new to this forum. Never thought about trying to control my dreams. I have recently been able to control certain aspects of my dreams and other I have be unable to control. I need you guys opinion on some of the stuff I have been dreaming and I also need help to be able to continue these kinds of dreams. So about 2 weeks ago, every time I would go to bed, I would go into a normal dream, in somewhat normal places... But Everytime I would flat out get the feeling like I could fly, and would just start to fly in mid air. It wasn't a instant thing. I would kind of bend my knees and could feel it in my feet going up through my legs and then I would take off and fly above city's. The odd thing is almost every time I would do it I would think about it first. But in the dreams if I tried to show anyone that I could do it I would have trouble at first then some how manage to do it and fly around for a while or till I accomplished what I needed to. I had about 5 nights of those kind of dreams then it stopped. I have flew in my dreams before, but I never felt taking off or landing like I did in those dreams. I can't describe it but wow. Anyway I would love to have those flying dreams again. How can I control my dreams like that? Thanks!

Well, it seems like you are a natural lucid dreamer. A lot of people can have trouble with flying, even if they are fully lucid. I know that you can sometimes fly, but you should check out this and see if it helps you fly any time you want:

When I was younger I used to have a ton of flying dreams and then one day they all stopped. I've only had a few since then, and have even had trouble when I've been lucid. I miss having those dreams, so I understand your frustration completely.

Having control doesn't necessarily mean you're lucid. Being lucid is merely being aware that you're dreaming, and you may not necessarily have control. It comes with practice and with confidence. If you work at becoming lucid, focus your intent with the desire to fly. Remind yourself that when you become aware that you're dreaming, you will lift up in the air and fly to X-location. Chances are, the more you focus on flying and the feeling of flying, the more likely you will be having those dreams.

As far as gaining control over non-lucid dreams, you're traveling more in the world of theory. Results will vary as you aren't aware that you're dreaming. My advice would be to simply enjoy the dreams you have right now and focus on your desire to fly throughout the day and before you go to sleep. Continue to practice reality checking when you're awake and then act immediately when you become lucid.

I wish you the best of luck! Sweet dreams.
