      Colorful Display

      Okay i'm new here, and a bit shaken up from this exprience. See i've been is this long distance relationship for 8 years, i've seen him in person 2 times and just yestareday, i dreamt of a friend which i've had a crush on for some time. I don't know if i'm just lonely for compassion or being shallow.

      But in my dream I am walking down a path with my lover, we're holding hands until the point he causes embarssment for me. We are also both differnt colors he's purple and i'm red. Then all of a sudden, i come aupon a bridge which i cross alone, its a very thin bridge and i fall on my knees and i have to crawl my way out. But on the other side of the bridge, I'm sitting under a tree with my crush who's laying his head in my lap and he's green. All of a sudden he says " your like a marshmallow, soft and sweet, and I'm like chocolate, dark and rich but together we make a tasty treat" then he ate a S'more, and then we kiss.

      I woke up with a smile on my face but i feel very upset about this dream, i haven't cheated or anything... i'm just very shamed and i would love the help, if anyone can help me understand this dream more.

      I think it does have something to do with not seeing your partner that often. Maybe you should move on, or move closer to each other? Move in with him or vice versa? It has been 8 years.

      Hopefully a veteran of the forums will give a more insightful answer.

      If I paid the slightest attention to my most bizarre dreams I would be in a mental hospital. I'm not joking.
      Experience tells me that the brain works in a very random way, and that the sleeping brain is even stranger in that it seems to concentrate and amplify emotions, so that entire dreams (what would be your train of thought in waking life) can be based on a single emotion or state of mind. In this case you were feeling longing for your partner, but your oneiric mind distorted the facts and associated that emotion to another character for whom you once felt something.
      My nighmares for example don't contain any explicitly frightening material, but in them I'm filled with a sense of dread: once I was scared to death of a door.

      LD Tasks:
      -> Have MILDs at will
      -> Ask my subconcsious mind something deep (i.e. the meaning of life)
      -> Have a fight controlling bullet-time
      -> Call my cell phone and ask the DC who he is

      Thank you both for being so insightful.

      So Mixed Man are you saying that my dream combine with my longing for my boyfriend mixed with that of my friend image which caused me to feel shame? Does this mean i let this dream go or does it tell me something?
