New... First LD last night! Few questions..

So I started 2 days ago with the whole process, set up a journal and have been reading everything here on the forums, doing RCs during the day etc. So anyways I am pretty sure I had a LD but I want to check with you guys to make sure.. Here is the dream:

Me and some people were outside a dark house and we were forced to take this wierd potion or something, and then we had to go in the house and there was a creepy old lady there and her husband and she made us try and solve a mystery.

Scene change... I am now on a bus and i looked around and saw some people I knew from my fraternity and next to me was my best friend from high school's gf leaning on my shoulder. She had no eyes for some reason. I think something clicked about the whole situation but then I was in my bed out of no where. I thought it might be a FA so I checked my nose and I could sorta breath through it.. .so I checked again and it was true! I got up and tried to fly through the ceiling of my dorm room but i kinda got halfway i think and then landed. I remembered something about stabilizing so I span around a few times and then I was back in my bed. I checked again to see if I was dreaming and I had 6 fingers so I was like "SWEET" and then I ran over to the window and jumped halfway through it... then stopped and I got scared that I was going to fall. I knew it was a dream but I was not sure. So hanging halfway through the wall and outside (6 stories up) I then woke up for real.

So yah.. I think it was a lucid dream but I am not sure. I don't remember things being as clear or as in control as I was expecting, I think i was thrown off by somehow warping to my bed instead of becoming lucid in the bus. Any tips on how to actually fly and gain more senses once becoming lucid? I know this stuff happened but it is very cloudy to me... I am happy that I did it but I am confused at what to do next time.

Any tips or analysis is appreciated !

Hey!! Congrats, sounds like a kickass first lucid! Sometimes you'll just kind of freak a bit and cause yourself to wake up, or to have a false awakening so awesome work catching that one
Check out this link, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=70131 it should help you get a handle on calming down and steadying a dream when you become lucid. But when you do stabilize you shouldn't just be stabilizing 'the dream', but your own lucidity. Really becoming aware and conscious that it's a dream, therefore you can do anything. Try to focus on this knowledge next time and become REALLY confident. I find confidence is the most important thing with dream control- realizing that something should work simply because none of it is real and there are no consequences or laws. Just keep reading around too, and you'll find a lot of good threads to help you along the way. Let me know if there's anything specific I can help you out with, too. And, welcome to DV
