Hey there, welcome to Dream Views! My name is Jonathan, and I'm a Dream Guide here. We hang around all the forums in case you need any help or have have questions. Along with our other amazing members, we can just about answer any questions you might have. You should be 15 to join Dream Views though, it was part of terms of use you agreed to when you created your account. (I'm not supposed to say this, BUT if for some reason you are NOT at least 15, just don't give us any reason to look into you age. ie, don't say it and don't act immaturely here. but shhh, I said nothing )

Anyway, Your reality checks and mantras sound great. The only thing I might change is the pinching your hand. You can feel pain in a dream, especially a Lucid Dream if you choose to. Instead, I would try pinching your nose to see if you can still breathe through it. If you can, your in a dream.

When you go to sleep at night, you don't need to clear your mind completely; just try not to think about the next day though, it will kill your dream recall. Instead, think of your dreams that you had the night before, or try to day dream if you haven't had a dream you can remember for a while. Imagine yourself going Lucid a dream as you fall asleep.

Dream Recall is very very very important If you don't remember your dreams, you might not even remember all the times you have been Lucid, or will be Lucid. Make sure you go to bed and wake up at the same time each night with 8 hours of sleep. Stay with this pattern even on the weekend if you can. You need to let your mind know your sleeping patterns so it can expect to recall dreams. When you wake up, lay still and write down ANYTHING you can remember, even if it is just a feeling. After a week or so, your recall should improve by doing these things. This tutorial on dream recall might help: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=66343

While I'm mentioning tutorials, make sure to check them all out as they are invaluable to anyone attempting to have Lucid Dreams. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=75

Once your recall improves, you could also start keeping a dream journal here Its a great way to inspire other people who are starting out. So take a look at other Dream Journals and start your own here! http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=26

I hope that all helped, and if you ever have any questions, feel free to just post them, ask any of the other Dream Guides, or send me a PM Good Luck with your Lucid Dreams!
