Is it just a matter of waiting?

      Hello! First post, woohoo.

I'll try and keep it short.

Recently started trying to lucid dream after having experienced SP and HI accidently after returning from a holiday (I hadn't got much sleep during the week so my body was shattered).

Upto last night I had only reached the stage of vibrations and early SP? When this happened I tried hard not to focus on my body but tried to imagine a scene, the smells, the colours etc. My head got the better of me and my heart bagan to race and breathing erratic and the HI went away.

Although, last night I was going to sleep as normal, not bothering about trying to lucid. I found myself drifting into a dream only to think to myself, hey wait this is a dream, i managed to turn my dream body around but I woke up (since I was being followed in my dream It shocked me I think).

After this I layed back down and I found it really easy, and really damn fast to reach the point where you feel your body getting heavy just by day dreaming. But if I would break the day dream, but still not move it seemed my body would know I wasn't drifting off and my body would stop the potential HI.

      So my questions are!

1: Is it just a matter of waiting after a HI goes away and waiting for another one?

2: Is drifting into a day-dream a good way to relax your body fast?

3: Or should I just be patient and lie there counting my breaths?

      Cheers in advance.

      1. Waiting for another series of HI? That's never happened to me before. After the first
set is done with, I'm either in still in waking life(fail) or in the dream scene.
2/3. I use a combination of the two. In the beginning, in order to keep my
concentration I count backwards. Eventually a scene will just randomly come to me
and I'll try to push myself into it.
