      Distracted attempting to wild?

the method ive used for WILDing is counting breaths, and the only time if been able to concentrate was at the start of a vacation. now, my mind keeps drifting off to schoolwork, or something im going to do later. is there any other method i can use or some way to focus on breathing and NOTHING else?

check out all of the tutorials and search the threads and posts for different WILD tecniques.

I am firm believer that there is no right or wrong method. For me, i don't count breaths or count at all. I just lie still think of a relaxing place and clear my mind...I've gotten distracted before and I just think about sinking into my bed and how comfy my pillows are and BAM all three happened that way. I also just keep telling my self "I'm dreaming, I'll know I'm dreaming, I'm summoning my dream"

      Check out previous posts though

Yup yup. To expand on this, one could combine the two, imagining that they are in their relaxing place (or, perhaps more helpfully, a place that they dream about often) and imagining that they realize they are dreaming (or performing a reality check), while in that relaxing place.

If your mind starts drifting, bring back your focus to the relaxing place. You could choose a new scenario, or start the scenario over again. (Personally, I like rotating through several common dream scenarios until I drift off). Best of all, this combines MILD with WILD. If you fail WILD, and end up falling asleep, you are already primed to recognize dreamsigns!
