      Longtime Lurker, First Time Poster

Hey there everyone, my name is Paul. I first stumbled upon Dream Views about four years ago when I was searching on HowStuffWorks.com. Somehow, I came across an article on there about lucid dreaming. I was fascinated by the subject, and saw a link to this place at the end. Needless to say, I followed it and read the entire home page about induction techniques, maintaining lucidity, etc. Soon after this, I immediately began to try having these types of dreams. I met with some success and attained lucidity a few times, but these were fleeting instances. My dream recall, however, was improving. I even gave a speech in a class about the topic.

Eventually, however, life got in the way and I lost interest in the practice. A few times I would pop into the forums to read a bit, but I never got involved. Well, recently for some reason I began visiting here again, and some of the discussion has reignited my interest in the subject. I decided to take the plunge and become a member. I might not be very active, but I'm going to try to remember to do reality checks consistently. If I have any noteworthy experiences, I'll be sure to write about them on here. Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself and I look forward to what dreams may come.

Eh, I'm ashamed to say I don't. I guess when I first got into it years ago, I was too lazy to keep one, and that could be one of the reasons why I drifted away from lucid dreaming. I'm going to try to keep a dream journal now, but I think it would be a bit hard. I don't have anything like a lamp withing reaching distance from my bed, and I think it would be kind of hard to write while I'm groggy. Still, nothing great comes without some effort, right? I think I'll pen my first entry tonight.
