This may be very strange to describe, but I am having a lot of trouble finding information on this so I'm referring to this website. First off, I dream every single night, and remember a fairly large part of my dreams. During the day, i could be driving or just doing random activities and then will all of a sudden feel as if I had experienced deja vu for places i've never seen before. When trying to sift through my memories i would be able to remember dreams from over 2 years ago of the most useless information pertaining to what i was witnessing at that point in time. I can also remember without cue many of my dreams, and when i dream every night, thats a lot for my head to hold in. I'm terrible though at remembering things while awake, names of my best friends, objects, looking back at a text 5 times to write a short sentence. I feel like a think constantly, trying to call up memories 24/7, even before going to bed which may help provoke my dreaming. It usually takes 30 minutes up to an hour to fall asleep cause i continually am think about things and i can clear my head. Now here is the wierd part pertaining to the title. It's happened a few times, and I can't find any text on it. I've woken up from a dream, eyes open and everything and was able to visually see my room. The only thing was, I was still dreaming. My knowledge of one of these dreams was being awake and haveing about 5-6 of my friends (virtual) standing and playing in my room. I awoke to see them and held conversations with them and they responded with intelligent remarks such as any person would do. Though due to how tired I was, i continually asked them to go home and leave me alone because i need to go back to bed. About 5 minutes in, i realized that this was stupid and that it was 3 in the morning and there was no way they could be here and i was dreaming. I tried to focus them out and it worked for about a minute, but then they would come back and bother me and i would forget that i already realized i was dreaming. I would talk to them a little more, sit up and try to interactive with my realization slipping in and out. After a series of attempts, i was finally able to tone them out and roll over and fall back asleep. I remember this very clearly, and once i realized i was dreaming, i was able to recall the past couple of minutes before i stopped trying to interact. Now my best guess is that my realization could be because of the dorsal lateral section of my brain slipping in and out of paralysis or however the brain shuts itself down during sleep, but i don't know how i can visually see my friends in great detail and clarity within a few feet of me while conscious (debatable). Also has anyone else experienced this or heard of this happening. I don't know if this could go along with sleep walking or talking because you don't remember what you do. This information may be on the internet somewhere and i just couldn't find it so i apologize, but fiugred i'd ask the dream site itself.
