      Back once again

      Hey People,

last year I joined the forum and quit smoking MJ for a while, but started again and with nearly no dream recall I kinda lost interest in LDing.
Now it has been 3 weeks since I quit again and recalling a lot of dreams.

Last night I even became lucid, but became over enthousiastic, I wanted to fly but suddenly the whole scenery faded to black and I woke up.
(so if anybody got some tips about staying calm
I'll also search the forums ofcourse...)

I'm planning on being here permanent this time though

So thanks in advance for all the help, great threads and answers!

      ...back

I too have the same problem as you in my ld's. My Ld's are really short but they have been getting longer after I learned ways to make them longer.

The ways I made them longer are, Grab an object, examine that object, or focus on something. As a way to calm down just remember to examine your surroundings.

      Try this tutorial.

      Good luck and welcome back.

Thanks alot for the welcome and for the tips
I'll also need to put some focus in recognising dreams more easily, but I think I'll be ok.
Just as long as I keep track of my dreams (not like last time )

Maybe it also gets easier to stay calm when I've had some more moments of lucidity, because the first few times I was thinking:"WHOAAAA I'M LUCID, HELL YEAH!!!!"

      Hey Spores.

I also noticed that the night after smoking marijuana I can't recall any of my dreams. I heard somewhere that it blocks your mind from going into REM phase so you actually don't dream at all, but it actually might be a rumour. I also quit smoking marijuana because I noticed that the "trips" during LD, OOBE or even sleep paralisys are far more intense and fun than MJ.

      Btw. I'm new here. Hi.
A consistent thinker is a thoughtless person, because he conforms to a pattern; he repeats phrases and thinks in a groove.

Well, that depends on when you smoke the joint (right before sleep or a few hours before)
I just couldn't remember my dreams, but I did recall having dreams.
But if you get into a too deep sleep it might be true that you skip REM.

      Welcome btw
