      How to force yourself awake

I'm thinking about trying a WILD tonight, but I'm kind of nervous about becoming lucid (my only 2 both lasted about 30 seconds) because I'm kind of nervous that if I want to get out of the dream, I won't be able to. This comes from a thing that someone wrote that I read about having hundreds of FA's and not being able to wake themselves up. Also watching Waking Life didn't help
Just wondering if there are fail-safe ways of waking yourself up into RL, not a FA.

hi! nothing fail-safe. However these long WILD's you are talking about are very rare, take a long time to master and require motivation.

To wake up (or at least have an FA) open your eyes while dreaming.

good luck with your WILD attempt! (in the sense that hope you have a WILD)
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

Close your eyes for a momenr while dreaming and you should wake up.

The post I was referring to was this: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=72529
He said that he didn't want the FA's and he wasn't even trying to LD...Maybe he was just exaggerating.

As said before, forcing your eyes open will wake you. Good luck. :-)

Being very tired or over-worked normally makes it much harder to wake up. I suggest going to bed at a decent time

Last time I did that all I did was close my eyes as if asleep in the dream and wish to awake.
