Yes, I sleep on my stomach and at some point my face was smack down on my pillow. I can't remember what the dream was, but it has happened. It has also happened that I woke up and my head was at the foot of the bed and my feet on my pillow... weird. |

I had this dream a few years ago that I will never forget. The jist of it is this: I was on a small boat with some classmates, on like a field trip, and we were allowed to jump into the water and swim. While I was swimming, I went under water. While I was under, my back was facing the ground, like I was lying on my back under the water, and just swimming that way. I came to this little rock formation and started to swim through it on my back. I soon realized I was running out of air, and I couldn't get out from under the rock. When I ran out of breath I woke up, under my pillow!!! I don't know how I got under the pillow, and I guess that's what made me think I was running out of air, cause I was having a hard time breathing under the pillow. It was one of the strangest things. anyone expierience something like this before? |

I've had dreams of suffocating under water since i was 4 (im 16 now) . one about every 3 months |

I've had a (non-lucid) dream, where I saw the entire world from the side as in a platform game (specifically Mario Bros, at that time). My character / me went underwater, and I became short of breath - I eventually realized I was dreaming, and that I was actually holding my breath, so I starting breathing again and kept playing. The fact that I was dreaming didn't quite make the connection for me that I was dreaming, somehow. |

I'd rather be asleep and living than awake and dreaming.
sometimes when im falling asleep i get sleep paralylsis but its not just my body i feel like im going to suffocate and ive got to calm myself down and just think about waking up until i do but it sometimes takes a few minutes when i was younger i got this quite bad sometimes. |
