      Dream Recall Help

I can never recall my dreams. I use the "I will remember my dreams" just before falling asleap. Even though I use it every night, I still can't remember my dreams. Any help is wanted.

      1. Try to eat lots of watermelon before going to bed. It will wake you up several times during the night and at least once you will remember that had something in your dream.
      2. Meat (before going to bed) will give you a heavy dreams (nightmares) that usually people remember.
      3. Sleep at list 9 hours and wake-up as often as possible, every wake-up go somewhere for 5 min (to stretch your muscles) and come back to your bed.

      KEEP A DREAM JOURNAL.

If you aren't doing this already, you need to be. In my opinion, there is no greater tool or useful item that will help you as much as a dream journal. Keep it. Write every single detail you remember, what you ate before bed, what time you woke up, and went to sleep, what you were thinking in the dream, how the drema felt, make it as vivid as possible.

      KEEP A DREAM JOURNAL.

      Do.

As for the non-working autosuggestion that you've been using, try to add this onto it:

I will wake up after every dream period and perfectly remember my dreams.

Dreams are more easily remembered when you're just awakening from one, and this certain phrase has worked very well for me.

Thank you for the advise. I have one question though:
Will this make me tired in the monring if I use this stratagy?

Well, you'll be losing a bit of sleep but it isn't anything major. You should just be awake long enough to jot down the key points or memories of your dream.

And it hasn't affected how I feel in the morning

When writing in a dream journal, use a pen. You DONT want to search for a pencil sharpener at 2 am. Use a faint light when writing.

      Good luck!

You could also use a recorder, so, that you don't have to write down anything

To the OP, dreams journal are very essential to remembering dreams. Autosuggestion works well for some, but, badly for others. If you wake up after every REM period, you'll likely remember the dream

That seems like a good idea! I tend to forget crucial things as I write and eventually my entries fade almost into improv.
ie) "So I might have done this..."
Seems like modern technology could help out with that too, yay MS Sound Recorder!

Have the determination to write something down EVERY TIME YOU WAKE UP. This is hard. This is the hardest part of learning to keep a DJ and record your dreams. They're often easy to recall when you first wake up. Keep a paper by your bed, even on your wall if you want, and write down anything you can remember when you woke up. Make sure to write down what time you woke up, too. If you can't remember parts of the dream, write down any emotions like "Whatever that dream was about, I'm really scared now." or "I woke up feeling so content and blissful."

When you do get some fragments, replay them a bit, and try to go backwards or forward in the memory and see if you can get somewhere with it. This is a bit tricky to do in dreams since they kind of jump around. Try to draw pictures, or anything.

Sometimes little snippet flashbacks will happen during the day, and when they do WRITE THEM DOWN!
