      ahoyhoy

Hello all, i've been browsing the forums here for a couple of months and decided to finally join up. My main reason being my troubles with becoming lucid.

I've known about LD for a couple of years now, trying it off and on again over the years losing interest over and over. Once i found this site though I started keeping a journal again and even just visiting this site keeps me interested.

So I've been keeping this journal, though unfortunately I've only been able to recall my dreams sporadically in few week bursts because peak times at school stressed me out, therefor no dreams.

I've been doing reality checks every time I think of, or look at the time, counting my finger, assessing where i am, how i got there and where i am going, and trying to shove my finger through my palm. Unfortunately i have yet to identify a dream sign in my dreams

My problem is, after all this work over the past few months, I have yet to attain any good lucidity. The best I've managed was that i was walking down the street, all of the sudden realized i was in a dream, thought "wow!" and instantly went back into an unaware state.

      Thoughts?

      Don't be rude. :\

Well, in that last dream, you realized you were dreaming! That is technically a lucid dream. Congrats.

You've got everything you need so far, don't stop the dream journal, or the reality checks. They are extremely important.

Just read around, check out the tutorials, ask questions, read more, focus, keep up your good habits, and welcome to dreamviews!

It probably wasn't too long, I just don't like dreaming . But I do like welcoming newbies, and it's a wonder I haven't been here in a while.
