      Newbie.

Hey, LDGuy told me it would be a good choice to introduce myself here I decided to make a post.

I usually never remember my dreams (I wake up as if I wasn't ever asleep, beside the dragging myself out of bed part) but after just one day of doing some exercises on this site before going to bed I remember some things. While it's barely anything (I remember 47% off of Adidas, soccer game[girls game maybe], my friend Andrew's face. While this is just random, I actually remembered) it's much better than before.

During the winter time I start thinking a lot more about how the mind works and philosiphies of life and why people do things. I grew up very open-minded and believed everybody was open to new ideas until recently, which confused me for a while. Of course dreams tie in with this stuff very well, and I saw this site (which is by far better than all the other sites before it on the google search "lucid dreaming") so I read and read.

I was introduced to this yesterday and already I am very interested and want to have Lucid Dreams of my own. While I don't remember dreams well, I zone out often during the day and see myself or things running around and doing things, but maybe I'm just crazy. I believe I am creative, but I have no talent in art or playing instruments, I believe anything is art though. So I feel very open minded and love new ideas, theories, and I have a very big imagination but I can never draw it or remember my dreams.

So I may not be good at dreaming, and it may take me a loooong time before having a Lucid Dream, I hope I will be dedicated to this.

Thanks if you read this whole, long post about a mediocre 15 year old kid.

Edit; I was also wondering how much stress and worry effects my abilities, my mother just went to re-hab (3rd time since August) and I'm wondering if my feelings for that will affect my abilities to remember my dreams. My logical answer would be yes, and the site says so, but I'm wondering to what extent?

That would be a day dream. About 90% of people have it, I imagine.

hey havock! welcome to the forums man!

Ok a few tips for you, if you want to remember dreams then you absolubtly MUST keep a dream journal, there is info on these on the main site if you dont know how to keep one already.

Are you stopping when you wake up in the morning, and taking a few minutes to remember your dreams before you get up? about 75% of your dream recall is lost after 10 minutes of you getting up, so take a moment in the morning to remember them and write them down in your journal quickly!

Its good to know you want to be dedicated, youll have no problem LDing if you keep it up!

Daydreams are perfectly natural, its just you getting lost in your thoughts, really. I get them all the time, usually in class when im bored.

Im a 15 year old too, btw.

As for your feelings on your mothers Re-hab, yes that will affect your lucid ability if you stress over it too much, but if you calm yourself down and perhaps do some meditation excericises ( just relaxation techniques where you can use autosuggestion-see tutorials ) then youll be fine!

Anyway, if you have any questions, just pm them to me, LDguy, or post them here and we'll all do our best to help!
