      excessive dreaming, waking unrested

hi, i often have very vivid dreams (not lucid) every night. I'm wondering if this is the reason why I always wake up feeling unrested, am I not reaching a deeper level of rest with excessive thinking/dreaming? I'm otherwise a healthy person - eat well and exercise.
Any hints on reducing dreaming, or how to reduce thinking while sleeping?

      Thanks!

Well it could be the reason, but it´s really hard to say. As your body recovers in the deep sleep between REM periods, it could make you feel unrested.

One way to stop dreaming completely is to smoke some cannabis(or get drunk), but maybe you´re not into that kind of stuff

Getting drunk works better than weed for not dreaming. I still dream while high just as much as normal. I would suggest sleeping a bit longer when you have the time, taking naps during the day (even if they are short 15min ones), or using a sleep aid (sleeping pill, etc.)

Jesus Christ, you all jump to the assumption that the dreams are the problem. Chucker, how long do you sleep?
