Do you keep a dream journal? Dream journals help with recall tremendously. |

Hey guys, i'm new to the forums, and was wondering if anyone could figure out why i have such bad dream recall. Every night i go to sleep thinking to myself, "Remember my dreams, remember my dreams..." and then bam its morning, and im still telling myself to remember what i dream. As sad as it is, i will remember like one or two dreams per week, and those are because something happens during the day that reminds me of it. Could my really bad dream recall be because of my ADD? or could it be stress related? (LOTS of school work recently) If anyone has any ideas as to what i can do to help this, that would be great. Lucid dreaming sounds amazing and i would love to learn how to do it! |

La dee da
that is why you ask yourself when you wake up, "was I dreaming about ____ or ____" it works really well if you always have dreams, for example at school, or you always see a friend in a dream. over time you can kinda predict what you will dream about... |

Try waking up in middle of night 1-2 times .. when i wake ususally 4-5 hours after I go to sleep i dont remember nothing. But soon as i wake up in morning i remember like 4-5 dreams. |

You could try setting an alarm to go off in the middle of when you predict you'll be in REM. Each sleep cycle lasts 90 minutes, and REM is the last stage. REM also gets longer as the night goes on, so you might want to do it later rather than earlier. 4.5 or 6 hours is usually good, although if you sleep for awhile at night you could even go for 7.5 or maybe 9. |

Some thing interesting needs to happen in your day, i had this probleam as all i do is sit around playing games. So i got two birds with one stone and stared to jog in the afternoons, while I'm jogging i concentrate on what I'm doing so i remember it well and it stays lodged in my sub conscious. |

LD count: 1
Short term goals
Perfect recall[], Have an LD[X], Sustain a LD[], have 10 LDs[].
Long term goals achieve full lucidity[], Complete a task of the year[], Go to heaven and have a beer with Jesus[] Full dream control[]
Easiest way to have good recall on dreams is to wake up and write them down during the middle of the night right after your dreams. Simply set your alarm in 2 hour increments throughout the night, awake and write down your dreams. I can't remember anything if I sleep all night and try to remember them in the morning. REM starts usually 1-4 hours after falling asleep (depending on the person) then every 60-90 minutes after that (also depending on the person) try to set your alarm after your REM periods for optimal dream recall. |
