      Newbie: Unintentional Lucid Dreams

Hey just found this site and thought it was interesting since I have had some lucid dreams of my own, be they unintentional...I'm pretty sure my recall is spot on and I can pretty much recall almost every dream I every night....here are my only lucid dreams though:

      1. Was in a dream, something happened, not sure (was some years ago) that made me realise I was in a dream, at which point I started to shout at the top of my lungs (in my dream) to "WAKE UP!"...I did, and I'm told I was shouting this in my sleep.

      2. Again, something happened to make me realise I was in a dream, this time I remember what it was, it was the fact that I had died in my dream....and was on my way to heaven....at which point I obviously decided it wasn't real. Anyway, I enjoyed the rest of my dream by moving mountains and flying around etc...the standard fun sort of dream.

      3. This is probably the most terrifying dream/lucid dream I have ever experienced...false awakening. Was at my girlfriends house, woke up (or thought I had woken up) in the exact place I expected to be, I went to turn the light on....it wouldn't turn on. At this point I realised that someone or something was inside the room with me (breathing very heavily), my initial reaction was to try and attack it. However, whatever it was jumped over me and decided to crouch itself on one of the posts of my girlfriends 4 post bed....at this point I woke up...to find myself in the exact same position, I rushed to turn the light on (naturally, being rather freaked out at this point) although, to my relief the light turned on to reveal I was obviously awake and had had a lucid nightmare.

Anyways, those are my experiences, be interested to know what anyone thinks of them...happy dreaming.

      J.

      The second dream sounded awesome.

I've also had a couple of scary false awakenings, which usually involve me getting up, going into the bathroom, and looking into the mirror and seeing a horribly disfigured face.

Ya iv'e had some crazy lucids before I really even knew what they were. I remember one where i couldn't wake up no matter what. I even died and that wouldn't wake me up. Eventually I just got really calm and said i would wake up. Next thing i know a door of pure white light opens and after i step through it i wake up. It was some crazy shit.

Hey, welcome to the forum! Those dreams sounded pretty interesting, especially number two! From what I hear, nothing beats flying.

Do you a keep a Dream Journal? A Dream Journal (DJ) is a good way to start finding your dreamsigns and (hopefully) becoming lucid more frequently.

Here are some useful links for you, if you haven't come across them already:

The list of all tutorials here on the DreamViews archive:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=74

      Reality Check tutorial:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=4470
-Shift also has a good Reality Check tutorial.

      Good luck!
