Thread: Hello Thar

Helo thar, I've finally registered on this site and decided to introduce myself.

I've had lucid dreams for as long as I can remember, I get them about once every other month or so. All the time I have dreams where I know deep down that it's a dream but I don't care or don't really focus on it.

My lucid dreams almost never wake me up, my dreams are usually pretty stable. The DC's in my dreams are usually realistic and are most of the time people I know. There isn't really much of a pattern or method I use. Usually I just randomly know it's a dream, it's not a "Hey this is weird I must be dreaming" kind of thing, I just suddenly know. I've actually had people in my dream tell me it was a dream many times. 0 o

Well anyway, the thing that makes me wonder is I'm not having lucid dreams near as often as I used to. During 2007 and 2008 I got them quite frequently. I have no idea why.

One interesting thing I can say is that I used to dream future events very often, usually having to do with major events or extreme weather conditions. The dream is always exaggerated, but many times years ago before I moved that the creek in my back yard had flooded like crap and was huge, and had giant fish swimming through it, and the next day there would be a flash flood or something. I once had a dream where everything has frozen solid like it was negative 100 degrees, and the next day there was a big ice storm across the state that left almost everyone without power for a week. I haven't been getting these dreams near as frequently, I've only had one these last couple years, which was about a month or two ago.
