I love those epic mythical dreams. I always wonder if they are a product of studying mythology, or the origins of humanity's mythology. Instilled by our culture, or the inspiration for our culture? There seems to be consistent cross cultural themes in mythology and the structure of storytelling that stem from some sort of base human instinct. Maybe these dreams are just an expression of that instinct.

I often wonder the same thing about the stereotypical "movie dreams." Do we dream them because we are used to watching movies? Or do we make movies the way we do because they resonate with our instinctual dreams? Movies are definitely not made to mimic reality. Are they made to mimic our dreams?
