      quick way to record dreams?

I had made an account here about a year ago and was getting quite good at lucid dreaming. With a handful of LDs under my belt I was confident. Then i hit a block where I could not further my ability to LD. I had come to the conclusion it was because my sleep schedule was irregular (weekdays sleep 10-6 weekends 2am-7) as well as being forced to finish short my dream journal in the mornings to make it to school on time.

Now over this summer I will be able to be consistent, but was looking for some ideas when school hits next year to avoid the same roadblock.

The best I came up with was to use a shower crayon and write on the walls of the shower in the morning. but that does not let me keep them saved on my compy386.

      ideas, criticism, etc welcome,
      Cody

PS this just in, maybe an audio recorder in the shower? documented and time saving. but I would need a lock box for the tapes, I do not like people to be able to analyze my subconscious and know me better than i do...

You could just get up five minutes early every day.

I got a voice recorder. It's very convenient because normally my handwriting's a mess in the morning and once I record my dreams I can save them on my computer where they are password protected.

Getting up early would not work because I was having at least 6 lengthy dreams a night regularly and would have to wake up quite a bit earlier.

maybe a manual recorder? so when you wake up you only gotta press a button, speak into it, and shut it off... much easier...

of course..i use the old fashion Dream Journal.. i write my shit down.
Or there are online journals you can download.. or put everything on DV Dream journal or even microsoft word your stuff..

      Whatever works for you

Why not record them in the middle of the night.

When I wake up I just jot down a few notes, that usually will kick-start my memory later in the day so that I can record them after work sometimes. Or, already been siaid :voice recorder

Hmm. Well how long does it take you (plural you ha) to write down your dreams, again mine would take sometimes 30 minutes or more. And so my problem is not recording them, it is saving time writing them down.

I might try a voice recorder, I will just have to look into it more.
