First Lucid in years - but at a cost

Ok so a few years ago i had a few of what i now know to be called lucid dreams. At the time i was either aware i was dreaming, or controlled what i did. Nothing fun like flying off or changing things around me just normal every day stuff.

At the time i wasn't sure what theses were or if in fact i actually was in control or aware or if this was just a dream that made me think that.

About a year ago i learnt these were Lucid dreams, and chances were that i actually was on some level aware/in control. It was about 3 months ago that i started looking into things again.

      ---- Last Nights Dream ----

      **** Setting the background ****
I was staying away from home last night it was a last minute thing, however i was staying somewhere i have stayed before, so it wasn't completely foreign to me.

So going to bed at my usual time of midnight, I'm usually asleep by 1am. However this night i was having trouble getting to sleep. I was still awake at 5am.

Shortly 5am i must have fallen asleep.

      ----- The Dream -----
Ok so fairly early into the Dream, i can remember thinking "Yes, I'm Finally asleep, At last." This was shortly followed by "Wait, if i really am a sleep, then i should be able to control things"

I decide the best way to test this would be to find a mirror, look at myself (clothes) and change them. So I find a mirror right away, and look at what I have on and one item by one, look at it, and think what i want to change it to, which transforms in-front of my eyes.

      ------

I can't really remember much else after this however its a good step forward.

      Thanks

I've been doing that for a while with most of my dreams.
Its Something i find hard to do sometimes though.

However in this case i was away from home, so wasnt able to write anything.

At home however i do have a notepad and pen by my beds at all times.
