Hey, Michelle. to Dream Views .

When you say 'the hand technique', do you mean FILD? It doesn't work for me either. Maybe you should try other techniques.

Check out the tutorials if you want to learn new methods.

Oh and by the way, I'm 15 too .

      Hi.

I don't know what FILD is, but what I do is look at my hands through out the day and count my fingers. I try to make it a habbit, so that I'll end up doing it in a dream, but when I've done it in a dream, which rarely happens, my hands look weird and I'm unable to count my fingers, so I just forget about it and keep on dreaming.

yeah. i'll check out some other ways.

      and same age! sweet. aha.

That's a reality check. Reality checks are used for DILDs, so that's definitely not a FILD. FILD stands for Finger Induced Lucid Dream (what a stupid name), and it's another form of WILDing.

      Well, anyway, see ya'

Why hello there, and welcome to DV

As you didn't mention this in any of your posts, I'd just like to mention dream recall (how well you remember dreams) to be sure ^^

Dream recall is of course a vital ability with lucid dreaming, so you can actually remember them Other than that it increases your awareness of your dreams. So if you don't already do, try to keep a dream journal. Basically every time you remember a dream, doesn't matter how much of it, anything will do! Write it down in your journal, this will improve your dream recall a lot, besides that you'll be able to spot dream signs and other repeating patterns in your dreams to help you realise that you're dreaming, thus a higher chance of more lucid dreams!

And since you're a beginner here's some tutorials for you to start off with:

http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=65032 (The DILD technique, might be good to start off with as a beginner, but of course do feel free to explore all the other techniques and see what works best for you)

And then to compliment DILD here's other vital things that'll generally help you a lot:
      http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=75427 (About Reality checks)
      http://dreamviews.com/community/show...6&postcount=88 (MILD method)
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=65236 (About Dream signs)

      Hope you'll enjoy your stay!
