On the night between january 21 and 22 (this year) I dreamt that I knew I was dreaming. |
It was not a false awakening, at least not a lucid one. |
A dream-within-a-dream type thing? |
Oh. Then you were close to lucidity. Autosuggestion can help to break this cylce. |
Dreaming of lucid dreaming is... confusing. Some people use different definitions of it than others. |
I have started to tell myself "I must make sure that I'm actually lucid and not just dreaming I am" every time I do a RC. |
This morning I had a short dream (a few seconds). I was looking at my alarm clock, and the number showing the minutes were increasing as if they were seconds, and I thought "It shouldn't do that, so this might be a dream". (I wasn't actually self-aware, so I was not lucid.) |

Wow, I was just about to ask about half-dreams, since I had one this morning. Sometimes I also "move" only to realize that I'm still in the same position. It's very strange; I wonder if it's the half-dream thing again. |
Last night I had a false lucid dream again. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seems like my new method (asking myself if I'm truly lucid (and not just dreaming I am) every time I do a RC) is starting to work. |

Pushing us into self destruction.
They make me dream.... Make me dream, your dreams.
They make me scream.... Make me scream, and scream.

While yes, this is progress as Hidden mentioned, waking up from a possible lucid dream because you tried to think isn't good because it means that everytime you get lucid and try to think, you'll wake up. What I do for an RC is the following: |

It was about 2 months since I last had a false lucid dream, but last night I had another one. While laying in bed I thought to myself "When I dream I will become lucid", but I can't tell if it was just coincidence, or if auto-suggestion worked really well this time (also, I had just ended a 2 week break from lucid dreaming, which might have helped). |
