Smile I just wanted to say hello:)

      Hey Guys,

I picked up this sight last night, read almost everything, found it to be really amazing. So because I'm always so impervious, I started a dream journal.

I really just want to ask a few question from the community, not from a guide!
How long did it take for you do start Lucid Dreaming? I just wanna see what the common posters say.

Also, I think I might have a dream sign, but I'm not 100%?
In all of my dreams, (Bare with me here), The, camera view, or the view point of my dreams is always from high above, or like a 3rd person view. I don't remember EVER having a dream in 1st person. Is that normal? Could it be my sign? Also in my dreams I never seem to walk normal. Like I fall through the floor or am always spinning. Any Ideas?

Also I'm still reading alot of forum posts and articles/guides, please don't yell at me to search stuff. I'm new here . Thank you everyone!

Damn newb, go search for a dreamsign tutorial...

      i'm kidding no hard feelings

but yeah i'm sure anything that you notice that comes up frequently in dreams should be used as a dream sign. You choose to make it a sign but you just have to have it a lot in your dreams (which you seem to be having)

btw, it took me a couple of days to have my 1st lucid dream (beginners luck) and started having it about once a month from there. now i have them about 6 times a month.

      good luck

Hey welcome CeedContra! I already had some LD's before I started posting on LD forums, but after I did that, frequency rocketed up a lot! I started doing all kinds of techniques and keeping a dream journal too, that really helped. By the way, having dreams in 3rd person, only means that you are actually dreaming of seeing yourself. If you would become lucid during such a dream, you would still have 1st person view, but perhaps start with seeing a double of yourself in this dream. And yeah I think you could use this as a dreamsign!

If your dream recall is already pretty decent, you should be able to become lucid in no time. Work on increasing your awareness during the day using Reality Checks. Review your dream journal frequently, especially right before bed, to identify dream signs. Try to squeeze in a Wake Back To Bed when you can, and you should easily score at least one lucid dream. Remember, confidence, optimism and a positive attitude are a big part of it.

Have fun looking around the site, and feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions. Be sure to check out the Tutorials section if you haven't already:
