      Lightbulb Newbie!

I've been to this site a few months ago and wanted to try lucid dreaming, but I wasn't really motivated enough and just stopped, well now I am. I haven't ever experienced one in my life. The last two nights I've had failed WILD attempts, the first one I started to hallucinate a little bit, but lost it immedietly so I just fell asleep, last night I just straight fell asleep. I'm not to good a dream recall however, If I try I can remember one dream every two or three days... I plan on started to record them down now, thinking back of my previous dreams I don't know of many dream signs... All of my dreams seem completely different. Is WILD a good technique to start out with? It seems easiest for me.

WILD is fine to start out with, but remember it does take a lot of practice. You can start practicing with it to start out with, but it might not work for a while. Just don't get discouraged with it. Remember, it is almost impossible to WILD when you first go to bed at night. Make sure you are doing it in after 4-5 hours of sleep.

No matter what, you should work on your recall, keep a dream journal, and practice reality checking throughout the day. These are things you need to do no matter what method you are using to become lucid.

The best thing you can do to improve your chances of getting a lucid dream is to start doing Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) whenever possible. Even if you don't try to WILD after your WBTB, you will still have better odds of having a DILD.

If you haven't already, check out our tutorials, here:

Oh, yeah I was trying to WILD when first going to bed, I think I will do the WBTB tonight. I am indeed keeping a dream journal. It is in a thread in the forums already, I truly wish to do improve dream recall with it.
      Thank You!
