Newbie - Staying in Lucid Dreams?

Hi, I have a question, and this seemed like a fairly good place to ask it.

Occasionally, I'm dreaming and I notice that something seems weird, and it occours to me that I'm dreaming. Sometimes I can stay in the dream, but usually only for a few moments, at which point I wake up.

Sometimes, however, I get a lucky one and can stay in the dream for quite some time, while aware that I'm dreaming, but more often than not I'm suddenly back in my bed.

Does anyone have any tips or advice that would prevent me from waking as soon as I'm aware that I'm dreaming?

      Thanks in advance.

Welcome, take a peak at this It's the dream stabilization tutorial.

What I like to do is to use my senses on something. IE: Taste it, feel it, etc. It may seem silly but it works wonders.

Your brain needed to help figure what's going on, so it turned on your logical centre, which woke you up. That will go away shortly, promise
