      Hi

Well, what can I say, I'm new to the site and I found it by using stumble. When I read the info on the homepage I was thinking to myself "right on, this stuff is interesting." I've never really done anything like this before, although I can remember two cases where I have had a "lucid" dream. In one, I don't remember the cue, but I realized it was a dream and tried to fly, I found it frustratingly hard because for some reason I couldn't, after continuous trying I was able to fly at a slow pace by repeating "I can fly" in my mind during it.
In the other I didn't have control over anything but myself, but it was helpful because in this dream someone broke into my house and was after me, I realized that it was a dream when I came upon a stair case (my house has only a ground floor) and so I climbed up the stair case and stood on the rail and jumped down onto my pursuer as he entered the room.

I realize this was a long winded intro that explained almost nothing about me, but oh well...

Dang, I was going to record my dreams, as tonight would have been the first night I did this, but my dreams tricked me. In my dream I "woke up" and recorded my previous dreams and went back to sleep. I later woke up in the morning and thats the only dream I can remember having...

btw, I was looking at your sig and I was wondering what DILD, and DEILD stand for.

Jeff, I was looking through your how to trick your body into falling asleep tutorial and I realize that i've had that happen to me before, usually when im really tired but I do my best to stay awake. Although I've had one case where my mind woke up but my body hadn't, so I could hear my siblings or parents talking, but I couldn't respond or anything because my body was "paralyzed." Also while looking through that I took that link to the "something every LD'er should know" I have heard music before, but I always assumed that someone left the radio on in the garage or something, but whenever I wrestled myself up to go and turn it off, it wasn't one.

DILD - "Dream Induced Lucid Dream" It is the most common form of LD (probably).

DEILD - "Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream"

Here is a link to the DV Dictionary, http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=71202
