Welcome, You remind me of me, when I started getting serious about LDs a few weeks ago. I just had my first LD last night, and I may have had one before that. The first one was very memorable and vivid, but I had no self control, and I was hardly aware that I was dreaming, but I remember the dream quite vividly. The one last night I was more lucid, but I still had no control, and the dream was very unstable. Therefore, one thing that I missed while reading tutorials was stabilizing your dream. read up on it. Don't ruin your first LD by jumping into it too soon.

This I feel is the best tutorial for stabilizing, that I have found. Sorry if you have already read it.
PS. I used DILD, but It might just be me.
Good luck, and I hope you soon have a lucid dream.
