      I'm getting so far, then i get stuck . . .

      Hi

I have been attempting this lucidity thing for a couple of weeks now, waking up in the middle of the night and trying to stay concious as i fall asleep. No success . . .

but - I keep having dreams where i realise i am dreaming and i change the dream, but it still follows the dream, if that makes sense.

      for example -

I was dreaming that i was half an hour late to a wedding where i was best man (but i'm a woman!) and the taxi kept taking me to all the wrong places, and i was stressing about being late, and then i had the distinct thought
'no wait, i am dreaming, i can change time[/b]
' so i rewound the clock an hour so i would get to the church in plenty of tme.

unfortunately i didn't do what so many people have described and have a good look around, its like i was lucid enough to change the time and went straight back into not being lucid.

      any ideas any one?

      Io

I pretty sure you've answered your own question, which is, taking a good look around. You might want to jump right into things, but I suggest gaining your bearings a bit, and then try some gradual things. Keep up with practice and you should be fine.
