My Story: An Introduction of Sorts.

      Hello fellow boardies and dreamers.

I stumbled across this website and forum whilst conducting a Google search of "lucid dreaming" over a week ago. It is not a subject that I am unfamiliar with, but one that I would like to "bring back to life" in a sense.

I'm a twenty-seven year old artist and writer. Florida born and raised and forever sun-kissed and salt-skinned. For as long as I can remember, I have had the ability to obtain lucidity while dreaming. Although this wonderful occurrence has happened mostly during my youth, teenage, and young adult life, it seems as though I have encountered a dry spell over the past several years. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is due largely in part to the stresses of everyday life and parenthood. Apparently, for me, becoming a "grown up" has taken a toll on achieving lucidity, and even dream recall, as I've fallen out of the habit of keeping a journal and such.

I'm hoping that through my participation with this forum and it's members, I'll be able to pick up where I left off several years ago. I'm looking forward to posting a "dream journal" thread.. As well as sharing some of my experiences regarding lucid dreaming, reoccurring dreams, OBE's that I have experienced in the past, along with a string of "nightmares" that I've recently encountered almost nightly upon receiving a surgical procedure a week ago.

I'm also looking forward to many discussions, shared experiences, and future friendships along the way. Thank you for reading my intro!

Start by reading the tutorials linked to below, those will help you get back into the swing of things. Lucid dreams are great for writers, some of the ideas that you're dreaming mind can come up with are better than the conscious mind
