      Hey

Hey guys, I'm HaZe. I've been interested in lucid dreaming for pretty long and have just recently learned that methods and sites like these exists. I have experienced some lucid dreams, most oftenly scary ones who make me realise I'm sleeping. After which I tend to get excited and I just wake up or drift into another dream and out of lucidity.

I'm just another average guy, I like music both listening and playing, I love sleeping and am generally easy going unless it is for work, school or any important task.

Idk what to add other than I'm hoping to get to know you guys. Cya all.

Hello HaZe, welcome to Dream Views! That's great that you've already had a few lucids; keep at it!

So how did you first learn about lucid dreaming?

I can't remember when I heard of it first, I can remember realising to be in a dream and staying briefly into it for what seemed like a minute before being afraid of never waking up.

I also used to live on a house close by a cliff when I was a kid and I would repeatedly dream of tumbling down. I realised after a while that I was never hurt at the end and quickly came to the conclusion that this was a dream. I still continued to fall and would wake up at the end but without all the fright.

Both of these lead me to believe that dreams might be more than what most people think. I did some basic research on dream control and learned of Lucid Dreaming then.

Oh, cool. How long have you been trying to actively LD? You should check out the chat sometime, it's great for getting to know people on the site.

I've been trying to LD for about 3 months now without any success. I just learned in another thread that I was skipping a step in WILD which kind of fucked all of it up..

I'll be starting over from tonight on using the right techniques, I'll be sure to check the chat out too. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, which step did you skip? Are you trying to DILD as well?

I didn't try any other methods than WILD so far. I just forgot that I WILD has to be done after waking up from sleep and before going back to it. I had just assumed I could do this before going to bed at night.

So yeah. Epic facepalm right there, but atleast I know it's not because I can't LD. I was just doing it wrong lol.

Ooh, yeah, combining it with a WBTB helps. Doesn't necessarily mean that you have to start all over though; you got some practice doing the technique.

And don't worry, anyone can LD. ^^

Wake Back To Bed. It's excellent for having lucids.
