Congrats! I've also found that my recall goes down the drain without the use of a dream journal. If anyone needs assistance on how to write in a journal, free to ask because, even though some find it easy, others aren't sure.

      Welcome nathant1310

Yes, a dream diary is where it all begins. And may I suggest a few things?!?

      1. Enter a name for each dream. most likley important parts

      2. Enter the date & time. If not when you wake up, write it down in the morning.

      3. Some people do not do this but I put what day it is when I record - mon, tues, etc.
I think these things can help establish trends & pattern in your dreaming which may pay of at a later date.

      good luck wit the journal!

yeah, i was very strict with my dream journal, and had begun to slack off. but a couple days ago i was looking back at my old dream journal and reading so many interesting dreams i would of forgetten if i didnt record them, so now i am slowly but surely reentering the tedious yet rewarding aspect of dream recall: the dream journal!!
