Was it a MILD, WILD, or DILD?

      Hi All,

Good news, is, I've been having some really nice success lately in the LD dept... soon i'll count 'em up and keep a running tally!!!

but... um... i can't figure out how to classify them?

for example. i've been focusing on having healing dreams lately. So i set my mind to continuing this running LD and getting more info. that would make it a MILD (right?).

then i do a WBTB. i enter the dream. Then it's a WILD.

Then i dream a little bit... you have to, right, to pass from HI into the dream state. Then i go lucid. So was that entering from DILD?

      thanks,
      bg~~~

DILD stands for Dream Induced Lucid Dream. If you become lucid at some point during a normal dream then these are DILDs.

WILD stands for Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Your dreams are WILDs if you enter the dream state directly from waking life without losing consciousness. Basically, you are aware the entire time you fall asleep and you go directly into an lucid dream. After a WBTB, If you fall asleep normally and then become lucid, these are not WILDs, they are DILDs.

MILD stands for "Mnemonically Induced Lucid Dreams." I don't have much advice regarding these. I categorize MILDs under DILDs because they can be very similar. Here is the tutorial on MILDs for you: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=65458

      Hope I helped.

      yes, thanks, yoshi...
i was only dreaming... "out"... for about a minute... (i think)... but... i guess that makes it a dild.
this helps me forward my project of classifying.
i think i might avoid going into details about mild.
anyway it did help. i had been wondering a lot. i learned something.
in a wild... you never "go out" not even for one minute.
      warmly,

Some might disagree, but if you ask me, MILD is just a technique for inducing DILDs. You still enter a normal dream and become lucid during it. In other words, I'd call MILD Mnemonic Induction Of Lucid Dreams.

But that's just my take on it. Other than that, just go by what Yoshi said
