      I'm new

I just wanted to say hello and ask a question.

It may seem weird, but I think I have had very aware lucid dreams for the last 3 days in a row. This is weird because as far as I remember, I have never had a lucid dream before. The reason I say this is that I am very aware that I am dreaming in the dream. It has started because for some reason, my dreams have all occured in the same place, though they do not have the same plot. Every dream has been in a mall like complex and the second I see one of two "stores" I immediatly become aware that I'm dreaming. I was wondering if this was "normal" because I have never even attempted to have lucid dreams before, and honestly never even knew there was such a thing. The thing is... there isn't much of a purpose to these dreams. Nothing happens, I just sort of walk through this mall, both in an out of it. It seems like whatever "plot" the dream had before I realized I was dreaming faded and just left me in this mall. I don't know what to think of it, it is pretty confusing. And it is even weirder cause when reading everyone's description of dreams, amazing, exciting things happened, mine was just sort of dull.

      Oh well...

Anyways, I basically just wanted to say hi.

Hey, thats good! Lucids for 3 nights in a row! Not bad... certainly better than I can do. Quite the stroke of luck. You should learn to start having more, improve your recall, and take control of these dreams. Well, if you want to, anyway.

      Happy lucidity, and to DreamViews!

Welcome to Dreamviews! The way you became lucid is completely normal. Those two stores in your dream are "dream signs." Every time in your future dreams that you see these stores, you can use it to your advantage and become lucid. Keep this idea in your mind as you continue to practice lucid dreaming. Alot of times the dream plot will fade upon becoming lucid. You can always fly to different area or, what I like to do, improvise. Once you become lucid, walk up to a DC and start an epic of your own. Ask the DC if he has the secret package, or tell him "it is time" and see what happens. Pretend the mall is under seige and you are sav ing everyone, etc. Dreams play alot like young children do. Pretend play with your imagination at first, but unlike real life, your environment begins to play along with you. Its awesome! Good Luck to you!

Thanks. I don't know if I will have the dream in the same place again. I didn't last night... or at least I can't remember if I did. I will probably try some of the tutorials and definantly start a dream journal. That seems like the best way cause WILDs.... or at least I think seem too hard as I get destracted all the time. Anyways, thanks for the replys.
