You had good instincts with how to keep your dream going. Definitely check out the tutorials and absorb what you can. If you become a regular lucid dreamer you might not want to take any drugs. Drugs are just a shortcut for what you can do with your mind with proper practice and patience.

Yeah, you might not want to use the drugs too much because they can make your brain dependent on them if you use them too much :\

You should probably start out with the DILD technique.

Here is a tutorial on Dream Control

And here is one on Reality Checks which will help induce the DILDs.

Welcome to DreamViews and if you have any questions, pm me, and i will be glad to help

Welcome to Dreamviews! With that early success it sounds like you won't have too many problems with LDing. I suggest starting a dream journal and reading through some of the tutorials on this site. Good Luck with your future efforts!

Thanks for the tips and well wishes! I started up my dream journal a couple days ago and I'm already starting to get better at remembering things Definitely had a little bit of a mindfuck, though; the very first time I got up to record a dream, it turned out to be a false awakening I kept trying to write it down on a notepad until I realized I didn't even have a notepad, and woke up again and found a paper to write it on for the third time (to me), hoping I wouldn't have forgotten too much by the time I got it down for real lol

Lol, yeah I know the feeling. This is why I suggest performing RCs every time you wake from sleep. This will help you conquer any FAs you may have in the future, which in turn will also raise your lucid count.
