WILDs are really dificult.
When i first started, i had already been having DILDs every month (i'm a natural lder). I wanted to be able to go from waking to lucidity. I found that it's not enough just to tell yourself to do it... you actually have to do it.
The key for me is to keep my thoughts passive and my consintration on something physical while my body is totally relaxed.
it sometimes takes a while, but another helper is to get about 5 or 6 hours of sleep before hand. With natural sleep cycles, the first 100 minute cycle is about 90 minutes Non-REM sleep (non vivid dream) and 10 minutes Rem. After about 6 hours of sleep (stay up for about an hour after the initial 6hours) you can have up to an hour of REM sleep with about 30 minutes of Non-REM sleep (or so i've heard).
It's just easier to go into an LD after that much sleep.
AFTERNOON NAPS ARE RECOMENDED HIGHLY FOR WILD!!!!!!!
