      Was this SP?

      Hi

Yesterday night I tried to do Jeff's method of tricking the body to go into SP by not giving into "change position" feelings. Well, I think i was successful at first, because i gradually felt my feet getting extremely numb (or cold, something like that) and slight prickly feeling. As i held on i slowly started feeling it go stronger and stronger at my feet and also my hands, and it reached a peak (which was extremely irritating now, to an extent painful) and stayed so for maybe alomst 10 minutes. I wasn't feeling any further development, and so wanted to test it. I tried to move and I think I moved without any problem at all. My body felt normal again and I gave up. Was I already in SP? Or should I have carried on much longer?

Plus, is it necessary to keep the mind quiet while trying to get an SP?

Since you were able to move so easily, I don't believe you were in SP yet. Alot of times, after laying still for that long, your body starts to go numb and sends you those slightly painful vibrations which are triggers/signals to get your body to move (in accordance with Jeff's technique). I think you need to just try and wait it out a bit longer. Make sure you stay calm through the entire process and have a positive mindset. Expect yourself to succeed. Once SP sets in, I'm positive you will be able to tell the difference. Of course everyones HH is different, so just prepare for the unexpected. Good Luck to you!

SP is when you physically can't move. You can blink and breath normally but can't move your body. It sounds like you got close, when you were talking about the numb/prickly feeling.

I've never been in SP. But I (according to people here) was near. At some point, you will feel like you are falling, it gets a little harder to breath, and then you start seeing dots and stuff on the inside on you're eyelids.
