Does it count as lucid if you still have no control?

At some point in one of my dreams I used the nose-pinching thing and realized I was dreaming, but then I forgot about it and never really had any control over my dream anyway. So was I lucid or semilucid?

It was lucid until the point you forgot about it.

yup, once you forget about it it no longer is a lucid, but the entire dream does count as being a lucid dream since at one point you were lucid

IDK, I was thinking about that and if that's true I LD weekly. Most nights I realize I'm dreaming within the dreams, and sometimes I even try to change the outcome of the dream (having dreamt the same thing before) but I don't really have any control at all.

Then you do Lucid Dream weekly. Control comes with practice and doesn't relate to getting Lucid. You can have control while not being aware it's a dream, and vise-versa.

It counts First of many, hopefully. With practice, they should get longer, more vivid, and you should develop more control.
