      new to lucid dreaming

Hey all. I happened to stumble onto some site about a year ago that had something about lucid dreaming. It piqued my interest and every now and then I'd read something here or there about it, but I never was interested in taking the steps to actually attaining lucidity (basically keeping a dream journal and thinking of reality checks because my dreams are usually strange enough as it is and i usually have decent recall anyway). Then about two or three months ago I read about a plant called Calea Zacatechichi thats supposed to make your dreams real vivid and all. I decided to order some because it was so cheap.

Basically, in the last three weeks I've had about 4832094820542 and a half dreams and became 100% lucid and in control of everything in 2 of them.

I don't know if thats looked down upon because its kinda of like a short cut using a plant to help attain these dream states, but since the first lucid dream I've become extremely interested in it and just decided it might be cool to join a forum and discuss dreams and what not and maybe even start a dream journal.

      So, to sum up....Hi!

Welcome to Dreamviews! I doubt anyone will look down upon you for using your so called shortcut . There is an entire section here on the forums concerning lucid aids, here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=44 . Actually, I'm sure many people would love to hear about your experiences using it. I strongly suggest starting and keeping up with a dream journal. I also suggest browsing through some of the tutorials. There is some good information on the many techniques and methods for attaining lucidity. The tutorial section can be found here, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25 . Good Luck to you!
