      Lucid Dreaming sounds pretty unbelievable

If there wasn't a whole site like this dedicated to it's existence I wouldn't believe it. Despite this, being able to dream whatever I want and me having a lot of free time makes me want to give it a try. I never remember my dreams nowadays which makes me wonder if I can do it, but there seem to be many techniques to get to the end, so i'm gonna give it my best shot.

      So, here we go.

i'm kinda new myself but LDing DEFINITELY exists. Start your dream journal and you'll soon start remembering most of your dreams.

Same here. "I'll wake up after my dreams and remember them" worked for me from day one.

i was a daily pot smoker ,when i quit i remember 3 dreams on average like every 90 minutes just like they say about the rem period is every 90 min. keeping a journal helps if you even go back to sleep for a minute youll forget (at least i will ) your dream, getting lucid is possible and is absolutely wicked feeling as i have done it about 6 times in the 12 months that ive been not smoking spread out over 4 years

I wouldn't use the existance of a wheb site and forum as proof something exists.

There used to be an entire forum dedicated to the fact that Digimon were real.

      from hell's heart I stab at thee;
for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee."

It's weird how so many people don't think lucid dreaming is weird. Can you elaborate on why you might think this, so I can understand?

Yes, it's very scientifically proven. And if you lay in bed, perfectly still with your eyes closed. Your dreaming brain starts to turn back on, and the memory of your last dream comes with it.

[quote=Conkt;1225242]It's weird how so many people don't think lucid dreaming is weird.

Maybe here online but i get some weird looks when trying to explain it to others.

I think most people can relate to the (I knew i was dreaming) feeling but they might not fully understand the lucid thing, once it happens though, you know the difference.

i also find that scholars or just heady type people might have a more open mind (not that i fall into that category) well maybe heady lol

To begin with, I shared your sentiments regarding lucid dreaming: that it had to be too good to be true, but as I began reading up on the subject and soaking in information, my first lucid dream experience totally countered that claim. For this I'm naturally grateful.

I hope you too will find enlightenment of its existence someday.

      So, here we go.
      Sounds pretty nuts, doesn't it?
anyway, I just came here three days ago, and last night I remembered all three of my dreams. Whoo! Lucidity here I come!
This sounds soooo weird, but if you quietly chant the words "Raom Gaom," (that's Ray-owm Gay-owm,) under your breath, when you first wake up, it helps you remember your dreams. I tried it for the first time this morning, and I couldn't remember anything that I was dreaming about. I chanted "Raom Gaom" like a fool and it worked like a charm.

That comment wasn't cold. It was the truth.

Once HurricaneDictator has experienced a lucid dream, I'm sure he'll believe zealously. Once you've had a taste of the sweet, enchanted flavour of lucidity, you'll seldom crave anything else.

That's just a placebo. It's not the fact that you chanted "Raom Gaom" that helped you remember, it's that you had the intent to remember and were sure that what you were doing would work. Concerning dreams, if you know something will happen it will.
