My first (well actually second) lucid dream!

I had one lucid dream as a young boy, when I didn't even know there was such a term for knowing you're in a dream. All I did was bang my head against a wall to wake up (bad choice huh). Well I stumbled upon dream views about 2 years ago and got interested in controlling them. I tried for a bit but was too distracted with school and such. Well a few weeks ago my room mates and I started talking about lucid dreams again. Well this morning I was woken up on several instances, a ringing phone, a doorbell. I knew that going back to sleep was a good way to induce a LD. Well sure enough, I found myself realizing I was in a dream and got really excited. I went for the most common thing, attempting to fly. I jumped and too my surprise, I flew to a height of about thirty feet and proceed to fly. I don't remember much more than that but I know one thing, I'll be starting the dream journal and the reality checks very soon.

Nice job flying, that's usually really difficult, but it seems like you're a natural at it. I hope you stick around DV this time

I also wasted a few of my LDs when I was younger. Like there was one where I was outdoors, and I was really bored, not knowing that you could do anything. Then I wondered, "What happens if you die in your dream?" so I asked a DC to kill me and he punched me in the face and then I woke up.

Welcome to DreamViews! Hopefully you'll get some more LDs. I think the main reason that flying is hard is that a lot of people say it is hard, therefore putting you in that mindset.
