Thumbs up Had A Fantastic Nights Dreams

well had a brilliant night 3 very clear good dreams I am trying all different methods from all the tutorials and use what suits me and it works

1 i found relaxing very important listen to binaural theta state beats link here if you want to try..

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGXGc...eature=related

2 went to bed very relaxed i then relaxed all of my body cleared my mind i have been doing this or several months now and it does get easier no noises in my head
then the fun starts my after some time my body feels heavy i begin to have HH/HI's and small like jolts i can only assume that is when SP begins to set in and my mind is being disconnected from my body it is a little startling at first but then you get used to it as you know its going to happen trouble is it comes out of the blue.

3 I was hovering between wake and sleep lovleyfeeling felt as if my body was floating then i saw what looked like a rough painting form of trees and landscape which was yellow then it blended in altogether from that point i was in and out of sleep/wake sequence then i entered a dream i was in a plane as a passenger flying round Europe it had great clarity.

I still recall several hours of waking up it was so vivid over he past month i have found my dream signs that occur in most of my dreams.

4 My next step is to get in the habit of RC,ing during the
day making a big point to myself of doing it then hopefully it will flow through to my dream state in a natural way so then to become fully lucid but it is finding that balance of consciousness in your dream.

any tips please let me know

      Happy Dreams
      J

Vivid dreams are great, even if they're lucid or not. Like you, my dream recall is improving and I am getting used to RCing during the day.

This is the standard guide on it in the tutorials section but I re-read it the other night and found it very helpful.

      Good luck.

Hi TDZ thanks for the info it is useful i think the more you go through these the more ingrained it becomes.

This has opened a whole new dimension in sleeping for me, where I used to just go to sleep now it's become more like...can't wait to sleep to try new things as see what occurs.
      thanks again
      J

How about doing RC's on the hour, every hour, by setting a timer on my watch, that way you can not forget.

Oh yeah definitely, before, going to bed was just an everyday boring kind of thing...but now I'm actually really excited to see what happens during sleep.

Hi DZ had quite a peculiar night I entered into SP then started to have like dream impressions which lasted literally seconds one point i was asleep and I laughed which i was physically aware as i felt myself laugh it was a really strange feeling like being aware of both at the same time for a few seconds.

But what really got me was in my dream, cars. (which seem to be a regular DS ) i was changing some tyre's on a car in my dream but missed it, if only I had stopped at that point and done a RC in the dream as it was so real.

one of the other dreams I had was some guy chasing people I tried to warn them he was chasing after them.

this is the weird bit, this guy was running like the six million dollar man so fast that i was thinking how the hell did he get there so quick...I woke form that and felt a bit shitted up as it was so vivid.

so..... the lesson learned.... to remind myself to do RC period.. I did several upon waking up and yes I was awake shame I did not do it in my sleep though!!

still ,overall ....I had bags of fun last night, we live and we learn.....

Making really good progress and it's good that you're getting those dreamsigns. I have been getting quite a few lately and I am just practicing with RCs too.

Had one of those nights where I woke up/fell asleep over and over, but each time I woke up I remembered to RC (to catch those false awakenings) but there were none.

Those "dream impressions" are a really good sign too when you're in SP, you're getting so close.

      Good luck again tonight

Hi DZ thanks for the encouragement

good that your RCing when you wake up something i forget to do! your right, could be missing out on a FA.

Something i am discovering on my journey in to LD is that there is a fine line between being awake and asleep when your in SP very hard to describe but you know it and feel it

a bit like brain training i am of the opinion that it is something that comes with practice and mental discipline

do you keep a DJ? and log any reoccurring objects in your dreams in it?

Good Luck to you also........ we'll get there

      Thumbs up

Hey DZ last night had experienced lucidity albeit a matter of seconds

I went to bed about 12:30am and went though my relaxation technique

I then began to experience HI i have learned when i start experiencing them i am close to entering sleep then came....I was waiting for it the jolts or HJ that seems to come out of the blue

then I started to have mini dreams it was then I was conscious I was dreaming i completely lost sense of my body, breathing, heartbeat and the fact i was in bed

And it was then while I was aware I was dreaming I RC,ed and my arm went straight through the other arm it was like i was suspended in space upright,

this lasted just a few seconds then I woke.

I went on then to have 3 dreams but again the dream signs were there I was working this time in a breakers mending cars I again failed to RC in the dream and missed further lucidity.

One thing that I have noticed for myself is that there is a depth to dreaming although i experienced lucidity in the first shallow dream.

I think it is a case of raising my consciousness levels in my deeper realms of sleep

and again RCing is key as I was RCing like mad yesterday especially before I went to bed

but I am well chuffed all this research and mental discipline is paying off and it is well worth it

I was looking on the web last night and found this link to LDing have a look might be worth a read for someone else's experience and perception

how was your night let us know

      Whoa awesome, lucidity!

And yeah I know what you mean about the line between awake/asleep during SP. It feels like I'm "zoning" out and I totally forget about all of my body, feels very relaxing.

Yeah I keep a DJ (started it around 2 weeks ago, since around I joined), and I woke up last night at 3am and recalled all of an amazing non-lucid dream which included a few FAs...but my RCs for waking up didn't work...can't explain, it was just a really strange dream and how it progressed kind of hurt my head, hah.

I am starting to pick up on dreamsigns (especially technology not working properly, even though that is a universal dreamsign I seem to be getting it an awful lot) and anytime dreaming/sleep/RCs/anything lucid is mentioned because I've had a DC talk about it all before.

I've heard the best time to RC is when something odd happens, but for beginners like us to just keep at it.

Thanks for the link, gonna check it out now and good luck with everything.

Hi DZ last nights dreams were very Lucid i was fighting in a war God only knows why I was dreaming about wars !!

Anyway the enemy was Blasting rockets etc at me but I was able to do an amazing thing... and that was to build giant block walls with my mind i was building them and pushing them with my mind as a barricade to separate me from the rockets

my goodness it was weired but that protected me from being killed

Then.....well this really made my day ....I had Micheal Jackson in my dream he was sitting on the floor giving out food I had a hamburger from him i didn't say anything to him as I WAS SO SHOCKED IN MY DREAM .... this was the key that made me realize I was dreaming knowing that Michael Jackson was dead..... also the burger had the top bun missing it was not complete so it was like a double RC I tell you ...you could have bowled me over with a feather.

This has come from RCing like mad and now I know the signals to look for it is all a learning process like you learn to drive for example same in Lucid Dreaming

I can not wait for tonight!!

keep at it Bud it will defo come no one can put a time on it but you know when it happens

      take care

All that hard work is paying off, good job!

Hah if I saw MJ in my dream that would have instantly reminded me to RC.

I can't wait either, even though I haven't had a lucid yet (I'm getting there) I've been having the most vivid dreams ever over the last few days. I've been waking up at 2:30-3:30 over the past few days as well, right after having a dream, and I go to bed at about 10pm, so this must be a REM period for myself.

      Hey Guys,

Your posts have been inspiring. I am working on my dream recall right now and doing RC's throughout the day to get used to it, then I will be moving to the next step and try to LD.

I'm recalling 1-2 dreams every night so far. The dreams that I do recall always seem to end at 2:45 and 6:50. Which is when I write them down in the journal. They seem really short too though

      Happy Dreaming!

First off, great job so far. I know what you mean about dreams being somewhat sort, I sometimes have those, but you will find that as you get better and better at dream recall, you'll remember the dreams being really long.

What really works for me is to sit still after waking up and work all the way backwards through a dream as far as I can go. I got up last night after a bit of recalling to go to the bathroom and found that I couldn't remember any further, so even a brief time up and about and you can forget a lot.

Before my dream journal I thought I had good recall, but now it's like...remembering little details about dreams and even dialogue (which I used to never remember).

And good luck and happy dreaming to you too!

Hey DZ you are getting there it's just a matter of time..
like every night you sleep its a bit rolling the dice you never know whats going to happen. thats the exicting thing.

that sounds right the time you have REM period if your waking up at 2.30-3.30 have you tried the WBTB it may be worth trying

Good luck tonight let us know how you get on

I'll give the WBTB a shot, not sure if I can stay up too long but it's always worth a try, thanks.

Thats it Dan It is a bit like learning to drive your on the right track, like anything that we learn it takes time but you'll get there

Don't worry your dreams seem short at the moment....does'nt matter, but the fact you can remember is more important, and recognize your DS that too is important as this will be your key to recognizing that you are dreaming.

My dream journal is a bit like a flow chart i log things that stick out, some times you may have different themes in one night log them all down.
in our dreams time does not seem to exist so the fact they appear to be short is not an issue

Keep going read up and you will get there

let us know how it goes

Thanks guys, I will let you know how it goes.

I think I had one Lucid Dream in 2003 and one earlier this year, but no control to do anything, they were amazing though. I'm pretty sure I've had others, but don't remember them that much. I just thought I was lucky, never knew it was a skill that could be acquired. Just found out about the whole concept a few days ago.

      Sweet Dreams!

Lucid Lucid your pickin on me!!!

Hey DZ even longer lucidity last night.

Before sleep i listened to Binaural beats theta rhythms for about 30 min

and the results from that was no SP experienced no HI basically skipped that before i entered in to A dream state.

The actual dreams very the most vivid I have experienced, clear color 3D and the key to lucidity was a guitar that i was playing that done it

it was very clear and more detailed then before

I was walking through a line of musical instruments I could actually feel them against me as i was brushing past them trying not to knock any over ,to choose the instrument I wanted to play.

Also interestingly enough this dream was one of the last i had after I woke at around 07:30-08:00.

so It seems that you can experience Lucid dreams just before you wake up

This proves to me that time does not exist in a dream state
or a five minuet dream can seem like hours.

how did go for you last night let me know

      Hey guys,

So I got ahead of myself last night, and was determined to go WILD. My body was really tired already, so I thought it might help quite a bit. I went to bed at about 11:28. Typically I never sleep on my back, but when I do, I usually have an OBE. So I read all the stuff on this forum to get some tips on how to do it.

I layed on my back and wrapped myself in tight and had a second pillow on top of my body for an extra tight seal so that I wouldn't move. I curled the pillow under my neck, so my head would stay still. I also put my hands together.

In what seemed like about 5-10 minutes, my body started to go numb at my feet. I focused on my breathing and went from breathing through my mouth to my nose and back, just to keep my mind busy. I had the song that goes "Tonight's gonna be a good night, tonight's gonna be a good night" stuck in my head (LOL). But more of like a trance version that I made up in my head.

Then my right shoulder started to twitch a little bit. Then a minute or two later my left foot's toes started to twitch also, and then I felt what seemed like an itch on the left side of my neck, I had to focus not to want to touch it. But it soon passed.

So my body was fully numb, and all that I could really feel was my mouth breathing because it was cold and my mouth got dry. The whole time it was just black and seemed like waves of different levels of black flowing from top to bottom in a upsidedown U shape.

From time to time I would go through what seemed like a "phase", where I would slightly fall asleep and wake up, it was kind of like different stages of sleep or conciousness (This happened at least 6 times is my guess). I kept tellling myself, don't "f" this up, you've come so far already! Then I tried to relax my body.

Then I saw a tiny heart that was red floating around. I started to notice a few objects that were of color other than black. My body really started to tingle and my eyes started to twitch!!!

I couldn't make it "into a full dream", but I do remember seeing my brother faintly and I got the feeling like his girlfriend had died, and I could feel his sadness, but then I did a RC, and said, there's no way she's dead and realized I was starting to dream.

My heart started beating faster (This I don't know for certain if it was beating faster, or if time was just altered/sped up and I just noticed that I could hear my heart beating). This phase lasted about 30 seconds, then I would go back down a phase, then about 3 minutes later it would happen again (2 or 3 times total I believe).

My eyes kept twitching, but I noticed my mouth was really dry and I had built up some saliva, I held out as long as I could, but had to swallow. Then I had to go to the bathroom, which pulled me out of it. Plus I a hunger feeling in my stomach. So I woke myself up to go to the bathroom and eat a banana, and my body took like 1-2 minutes to wake up, it was a crazy feeling, like when you sit on the toilet too long and your leg goes numb, that was my whole body.

If someone would have asked me how long it was, I would have said 30 minutes max! I then looked at the clock, and WOAH it was 1:02AM. I was shocked!!!! I was in it for over 90 minutes!

At that time I wrote down as much as I could remember. I tried to repeat the process, but fell asleep and had a regular dream. As much as I was disappointed that I didn't make it into a LD, it gave me motivation to try it again. It took a lot of work keeping my brain active, and not succumbing to falling unconscious. But it was worth it!!

I have no clue how to classify this, but it was definitely something I have never felt in my life.

Just thought I'd share with you guys Sorry for the novel!

Hey Dan thats great I can relate to what you are saying,

that SP phase where you see things phases, tingling is where you are on the brink of the twilight zone in and out on the edge of consciousness and sleep... and thats were you carry it through to a dream state.

it is a fine line too much and you'll fall asleep too little then you will awake

it takes practice and mental discipline but it sound to me you are well on the way

to help your mouth drying up try breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth this may help I know its annoying when these physical things itching dry mouth etc get in the way but its all discipline

you were saying about your heart bearing faster what time did you last eat before you went to bed and thats anything??

thanks for sharing keep it up

I think I ate at about 9:30 or 10:00, it was some turkey and swiss cheese rollups, if that matters.

      Thanks!

This proves to me that time does not exist in a dream state
or a five minuet dream can seem like hours.

how did go for you last night let me know
Awesome, I'm glad you're having so much success with your dreams. And what you said about lucid dreams before waking up and time within dreams is very interesting because I have noticed this too (with non-lucids).

Well...for me last night, all my interest in lucid dreaming sort of carried over into my dream. I was an actor in a musical entitled "Lucid" in my dream. Hah, was kicking myself after I woke up for not realising and going lucid.

I was just wondering, where do you get those binaural beats? They sound like they're very useful.

EDIT: Daniel, just read your post on your WILD experience. You were soo close. I've got quite far in but not as successful as you, well done.

I experience those twitches too sometimes, just before a pretty big itch somewhere on my body. It's like a quick jolt of electricity in your foot or something, probably the body checking your state of consciousness.

Can't wait to try again tonight, all the best with you guys as well.

Speaking of "time" in a LD, next time you guys have one, try glancing at a clock and see what it says while in the LD. I have read a few things where more than one person reports seeing 12:00 frozen.

It's interesting that you say this... I had a dream the other night that the time was 11:07:28.

I dunno why my clock in the dream had seconds, and for whatever reason, it was stuck, it must have been the matrix and I stopped time
