Exclamation Hey Guys, Just A Newbie Here

      Hey, I'm new.

I found this site two days ago and have been working on my dream recall. I only just got an account now. I am, by the way, keeping a DJ Anyway, on my first night attempting to remember my dreams, I remembered one dream.

The second night (last night) I remembered two dreams, and I miraculously woke up after each one.

I've been doing RCs during the day in hopes of doing one in a dream, but I was wondering if there's an easier technique out there.

So, if you'd please, help out a newbie.

Welcome, girl. It's always awesome to get new members. I love introducing LDing to people, it's an amazing phenomenon. Off the bat I'd recommend checking out all the LD tutorials in the tutorial section (and tutorial archive section), especially the ones about WILDing. Accomplishing a WILD should be a major goal in your lucid dreaming. It's basically an OBE.
      Stay lucid, stay WILD!

You mentioned that you woke up after your two dreams. I read somewhere in these forums that we actually do wake up after our dreams but hardly ever remember that, but it's good that you did.

Anyway, good luck with your dreaming!

It seems like you've been well met by the welcome wagon. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Anyways, I wanted to answer your questions/ make some comments about your Original Post.

A: We automatically wake up after the end of each REM cycle, which usually signals the end of a dream. This is a particularly good time to do a Reality Check, because it will help catch any False Awakenings (where you wake up inside of another dream).
B: Another good time to do reality checks is after you wake up, because once again, it'll guard you against FA's. These are more common than most people think.
C: Reality Check's don't work for a lot of people. If they don't work for you, try keeping a dream journal. In it, write down everything that didn't make sense in your dream. This will train your mind to be more conscious of things that don't make sense, and will give you a higher chance of random DILD's. Also, you can try looking for recurring things that happen in your dreams (referred to as Dream Signs) and do a reality check whenever you see/think about these things. If that doesn't work, you may be more of a WILD type person. Try looking up DEILD, WILD, and VILD for a way to induce dreams.

Hope that helped, and welcome to Dreamviews!

oniman7 is right... you have to really analyze yourself and see what works best for you.

There's no trick to it. There's no *easy* way. It will happen when it happens.

      But welcome!
