Just like innerspace says, you feel as though you are moving and in control of your real body. If I tell my left foot 2 move, it does. Sometimes depending how vivid my LD is, lets say its a semi LD I may get a strobe like effect while my body is moving but none the less I am in total control.

As for your 5:30 sleep pattern, I am the same. I am a shift worker 2days then 2nights. After my nightshift ill get home 05:30am go 2 sleep and will always wake 11:30 or 12 without fail then ill nod and wake up 1:30pm or 2. Not 2 sure why but its quite funny to see your the same. lol

I don't really know what you're asking... But if you're asking whether you could sing a song in your head at the beginning of a WILD... Umm, I don't know. xP If you had HH, you could probably direct them so that they would play the song.

I guess the song would help as long as it doesn't keep you awake while you're focusing on it. You would do it right from the beginning of the WILD, and you'd stop once the "dreamlets" start rolling in (the dreamlets being those fleeting scenes that don't last more than a second. They are there and gone before you even really have time to focus on them). I haven't successfully completed a WILD yet, so I don't know how well you can take my word for it, but I've usually just focused on my breathing while I drifted into sleep.

My problem with WILDing is that transition from external to internal focus, I pretty much fail at it consistently If you can make it work with a song, let us know!
