Hey, there, Pollila. Just got some guidelines to help you have a happy, healthy stay in our community.

1: Religion and Sprituality (R/S) is a minefield
2: In case R/S is not available, Beyond Dreaming (BD) and Extended Discussion (ED) will serve as replacements.
      3: Don't feed the trolls.
4: The trolls include Mark75, Carosoul, CarmineEternity, Guitarboy, and Man of Steel. ESPECIALLY Man of Steel.
5: Chat has absolutely nothing to do with anything else on this website. Not even itself. Lucid dreaming chat is never about lucid dreaming. And prepare to be desensitized to anything and everything within 3-4 days.

And now for the real ones
1: You should probably go ahead and start a dream journal now. Even if you already have lucid dreams, this should increase the frequency, and give you more control and memory over them.
      2. About the forums:
If I remember correctly, R/S and BD are largely, if not wholely, un-moderated. Seriously, careful where you tread.
Technical discussion belongs in Tech Talk, Technical discussion about the forum itself belongs in the Meta-Forum. I know that sounds stupid, but I find it's a hue mistake.
      3. Make sure you read all the guidelines for each forum before posting. This will save everybody a lot of time and trouble.
      4. If you get into the website some more, there are "teams" you can join. I'm pretty sure right now these are the writing team, which is working on a book (I was accepted, but don't have the time ) a research team, and art team, and an education, although the last two don't seem to have been very effective lately.
      5. If you feel like you would work best with another person, you can join the "adoption program" after you've been here for two weeks. Stick around for the DV Academy coming soon, supposedly new and improved.
      6. If you don't want to work with another person, or need any questions answered, you can PM one of the staff members, especially Dream Guides. Although I'd prefer you sent me a PM .
      7. Emphasis on the last guideline.

Let me know if I left anything out.

Last say, huh? bring it on!
anyway, the forum is totally the place to be, hands down. that place just happens to have DV members in it - and that is probably all it has in common. the topic discussion is rarely lucid dreaming at all...
