Smile I could use some assistance...

Alrighty. I've been on DV for awhile and I've kept a DJ and I've read forums and tutorials every week, but I'm not getting any lucidity results.

What method works the best? I'm not afraid of SP or Hallucinations or anything, I just want to get to work on actually getting results instead of oogling at other people's stories.

      Thanks,
      Kaylor

Fake it till ya make it bro. The subconscious can't tell the difference between what is imagined vicerally & what is really experienced. Above all else when you think about lucid dreaming whether its you or someone else feel good while you talk about it or rehearse it. Lastly, listen to your intuition/trust your gut

      I know from experience. ;o)
Thought plus emotion creates attitude. Attitude plus action creates experience and experience determines reality

just enjoy the nice dreams for now. it took me three whole months to get mine, but I was never once discouraged.

And MILD is the easiest technique.

Yeah, never fear! It takes some people a little longer than others. However, one of the best things you can do is just hang out here on DV (as in for about thirty minutes before bed, or something) and think about having lucids a lot. Do a lot of reality checks. Other than that, just keep up what you're doing. Good luck!
      ...And then to dream...

WBTB is quite often a reliable one, however it can be very inconvenient. I enjoy my sleep, so waking up isn't exactly what I want to do, but I discovered that I could still easily lucid dream putting very minimal effort into this technique. I don't even get out of bed, I write a few key words about what I just dreamed about in my dream journal, do a few reality checks, fall back asleep trying to focus on lucid dreaming (not too much though, enough that it's on my mind but not that I'm keeping myself awake) and then... voila! I'm suddenly asleep, dreaming, and lucid.

However, this was after doing the other basics - regular RCs, writing in my dream journal, getting enough sleep (which I should be doing anyway )

But basically... it takes a lot of trial and error. No one can really tell you the best technique, because you need to figure it out for yourself. Everyone gets different results from different techniques in a different amount of time.

one of the most effective methods of inducing lucidity is to snap out of non-lucid dreaming when you witness anything outlandish or abnormal.

by keeping up with your DJ you should start to recognize the dream-like experiences, and get to a point that you can wake up within a dream.

Try doing more, and using different methods.

How long have you been trying?
