Dream Guide?

i heard somethin about a dream guide and i dont know what it is can somebody explain?

To put it simple, it's someone in your dreams who knows more about your dreams than you do. Sounds weird I know, but apparently this entity is able to guide you through your dream, teach you techniques, answer questions and actually give you information you don't know (which is kinda weird, because dreams are supposed to be happening in your brain, right?) It might take you a couple of tries to find it, but remember you gotta believe you will find your DG one day.

Yup, pretty much that. Some believe they exist, some don't. I found mine through pure dumb luck. There are all sorts of different things people think about dream guides, though. Some think that the appearance and attitudes can be manipulated, whilst others believe that they are an entity that should not be screwed with. Personally, I take the stance that they are mostly detailed Dream Characters...basically, regular DC's with a bit more to them. (That's my DG in the sig, btw. Click the ). Whatever works for you. And good luck finding yours!

If you don't like your dream guide, why not get a new one? As you would with any other unwanted aspect of a lucid dream. It's only, like, an imaginary friend.

One that is more like a sage, who I don't see. She is the one who teaches me things, usually about ghosts and stuff, cos they scare me and she thinks they shouldn't The other DG I do see, and he is usually there on adventures with me He's like my Tuxedo Kamen (yay, Sailor Moon reference!), hehehe! Unfortunately, there isn't much I can tell you about finding them. They've both been appearing in my dreams (and LDs) long before I found these forums. They found me!

Just be patient, I heard that if your dreamguide hasn't appeared it's because it doesn't think you're ready to meet him/her/it. Just try to improve your lucid skills, and it will eventually come.

Do most people out there have dream guides of the opposite sex. I never really considered this but it seems that almost all guys have attractive females as dream guides and vice versa...

I happen to believe that your dream guide is whoever or whatever you want it to be. It can be a talking rock if you so wish it to be. If it turns out your DG is different from what you expected, a bit of dream control can certainly overcome this slight obstacle...
