      Hey Guys

Hey, I'm new on this forum and to lucid dreaming, but two days ago I found this site and decided to try lucid dreaming. That night I tried the WBTB method and was very surprised by the results. I had a lucid dream the lasted around 30 minutes. I didn't get to try a lot of things that I wanted to though, basically all I did was fly around, try to talk to an abnormal looking DC (I thought he might be my DG) he was wearing a suit, and kind of looked like The Observer of the t.v. show Fringe, buy his eyes had a censor bar over them. When I said hi, he turned around and his face had turned into a skull so I made him disappear. I also tried to work on flying faster but wasn't able to get very fast. I wanted to try some more stuff like summoning a person and fly through walls, so I tried again last night, but I had some trouble getting to sleep (probably fell asleep around 1:00 and then accidentally woke around 4:00, so I decided to cancel my 6hr alarm and just try the method from there, but to no avail. Probably just not the best night to try. Anyway, I'm looking forward to trying again next weekend.

That's awesome you were able to have your first lucid so quickly, you may be a natural The WBTB method is great, when you woke up did you stay awake for a while or go right back to sleep? Sounds like you had a pretty fun lucid experience, also sounds like you had pretty good control for your first lucid. Im sure there are many more to come Welcome to Dreamviews btw, dont hesitate to ask questions there are some extremely successful LDers on this site

Thanks, I used to become lucid and tell myself to make up from nightmares when i was younger. The first time (when I was able to do it successfully) I stayed up for about 30 minutes.

Ok cool, I tried staying up for 20 minutes last night but I do think I could benefit from going a little longer. Love the Alex Grey painting btw

Hello and welcome to DV! That's great that you were so successful on your first attempt at lucid dreaming! The more you practice, the better you will get. I suggest checking out some tutorials on dream control. Also, are you keeping a dream journal? How is your dream recall?

Again, welcome to DV! I look forward to seeing more of you around the site!

Thanks, and no I'm not currently keeping a dream journal but I do plan on it eventually, my recall is decent I think, I can remember my dreams about 2 out of three nights.
