Sweet!! You've read WAKE?!? Was it good? I've been meaning to read it for a few months now.

About your recall problems, read this tutorial on recall. It should help you a bit.

I'm sort of like you about music. I have it on when I sleep, but I've found I can sleep without it, although it's rare when I do. The majority, if not all of my Lucids were had with music in the background, but it didn't affect my Lucidity at all. I say if you can only sleep while music is playing, then your mind will probably adapt. Might I ask why you have to listen to music?

Yes, Wake is an extremely good book(: I read it in less then 3 hours I'm sure I'd totally recommend it.

I'll check out that tutorial, thank you!

      That's a relief... Haha.
And I listen to music because... Well, it's my life. Haha, I participate in every in school and after school program involved with music. I'm in a band. I just absolutely love music, so I think of listening to music while sleeping, as the soundtrack of my dreams(:

I almost always fall asleep listening to various different playlists. They usually end within an hour, but I have never had trouble dreaming or sleeping or lucid dreaming. This is more a matter of recall than the music actually doing anything, unless you're taking it to some excessive level.
