Very Odd Morning

Last night I had some very weird dreams. I was walking through a dark mansion of some sort, and there were weird creatures running around low to the ground. They were not any specific animal, just weird creatures. Everything was very dark in the house. Now, this morning, I have had a rather disturbing trio of occurences. First, last night I made a deposit at my bank ATM. It took the envelope and gave me a receipt. This morning, when I checked my account online, there was NO record of any deposit. I decided to go to the bank to see what was up. Second, I stopped at the post office to mail a letter using their automated machine. The machine charged my card, but when it printed out the postage, the stamps it printed were BLANK. I had to wait in a huge line and have it corrected by someone at the desk. Third, I went to the bank to check on the deposit - they are looking for the envelope but have not found it yet. When I left the bank, I turned the car key to start the car and heard a 'snap', and the ignition broke. Key just went 'mushy' in the ignition. Car would not start of course. Now, three weird occurences with machines...bam, bam, bam. Does anyone have any thoughts on what this means? I am home now, car is at the mechanic, waiting to see if the bank finds my deposit. I am having a beer.

Machine failure is a common occurrence in dreams, but it's very unlikely that you've somehow replaced memories of dreams with waking memories, especially when there are still results noticeable from those moments e.g. your car is at the garage. You just ran out of luck.

That is very strange. Sometimes when I have a false awakening but am not completely lucid, I will do things in my dream and when I wake up later my mind doesnt realize that there was a difference. So say in my dream my friend asked me if he could borrow a guitar pick and I give it to him, I will later wake up and ask him for my guitar pick back and he will think I am crazy cause I havent seen him in a week. To my mind though it was yesterday, and the only way that I know it was a dream was cause it just must have been. So maybe I didnt quite understand your story, but is it at all possible that your car is fine and the mechanics are really confused? and that bank paper is lying on your counter somewhere?
